Meet Chrissy Dittus


Chrissey, a self-taught artist, started creating art at a young age, working on “Paint By Number” sets and then creating her own artwork.  As notice of her abilities grew, she was asked to create paintings of people’s homes on Lake George, NY and elsewhere.  She has also completed drawings of both churches and religious icons for Sacred Heart Church in Lake George which have been used in publications and on souvenir cups and cards to benefit the church.  

Dittus’ art was featured on the cover of “The Scene” arts section of the Glens Falls, NY Post Star newspaper in 2000, in the Albany Catholic Diocese newspaper, The Evangelist, in 2013, and in the Glens Falls Chronicle newspaper.  She has exhibited at the 
Albany Center Gallery and several Lake George area galleries.  Dittus’ painting of the “Slate Truck” was featured in the 2016 nationally acclaimed North Light Books’ AcrylicWorks3 issue, “Celebrating Texture”.  It was also selected for the Slate Valley Museum’s national exhibit. Chrissey’s photograph, “The Protected Heart” of a heart-shaped Arizona cactus was published by  Dittus has entered art in the Woodstock (NY) Byrdcliffe Gallery’s 5” x 7” $99 Fundraiser and sold her work both times exhibited.

Dittus served as Secretary to the Board of Directors of North Country ARTS and is a member of the Upper Hudson River Watercolor Society and Adirondack Pastel Society.  Other works may be seen and purchased at
