7 Must-Dos for the Perfect Autumn in Glens Falls

Just like that, another beautiful season in Glens Falls is upon us. The leaves are changing, the air is turning crisp, and the city is transitioning to embrace all things fall.

Whether you’re an orchard enthusiast, love biking the crisp autumn trails, or simply enjoy a big cozy sweater, Glens Falls is the perfect place to experience the magic of the season.

1. Glens Falls Farmers Market

No matter the season, the Glens Falls Farmers Market should be a mandatory bucket list item. With more than 30 vendors each week, live music, and community fun, it never disappoints – especially during the fall.

The market is located at 57 South Street, in the beautiful new building that’s part of the city’s revitalization project. Every Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to Noon, you can stop by for fresh produce, flowers and plants, farm-fresh products, and Glens Falls finest local food vendors.

Fresh maple syrup, pumpkins, cider – all of your fall staples are right here waiting for you. Pull out your favorite autumn outfit and make a morning out of it to get the full experience!

2. Pyran’s Path

Fall is the perfect time to explore a fresh outdoor scene you’ve never experienced before, and where better than the city’s newest trail?

Pruyn’s Path, Glens Falls’ new interpretive and exercise trail, connects the rejuvenated Murray St. Park with Haviland’s Cover Park to create a 1.25 mile route along the Hudson River.

Whether you enjoy a brisk jog, leisurely bike ride, or even an educational stroll, Pruyn’s Path will keep both you and your fall senses active.

3. Hicks Orchard Store

Everyone knows it’s not fall unless you have (at least) one cider donut. Hicks Orchard Store at The Shirt Factory in Glens Falls has all the donuts, apples, and fall goods you need to stock up for the season.

The store is open Thursdays and Fridays from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Looking for a crisp evening cider? Visit Hicks Orchard Store outside for Food Truck Thursdays from 4:30 to 8:00 p.m.
