I See You. I Support You.

It sounds great, but working from home is not ideal. Some of the biggest challenges include struggles with loneliness, feelings of disconnectedness and poor time management.

We need social connection, it is linked to every aspect of health and wellbeing. Social groups provide us with an important part of our identity and teach us skills that help us live. Additionally, social connection improves work-life balance, and a collaborative work setting boosts creativity and increases our personal skill set.

Though I am unable to bring us all together at WorkSmart while we fight the spread of the novel coronavirus, I still desire to help remote workers in the Glens Falls region reduce the feelings of isolation and stifled productivity. I created an opportunity for you to socially connect and I encourage you to join our online Slack group gfworks. This group encourages engagement with other business owners in the Glens Falls and Queensbury region. It boosts opportunities for collaboration and helps you connect to needed resources.

A community member of WorkSmart, Ateeq Ahmad, isn’t new to the work-from-home scene. Ateeq is always finding ways to offer support and since he knows first-hand what it takes to successfully work-from-home he’s sharing his Five Tips to Making Remote Work Productive and Peaceful. Give it read then connect with Ateeq on gfworks.
We look forward to seeing you around Glens Falls as soon as we can be together again!
